Registration for the 2016 Sai Medical Services free medical camp to Fiji 2016 is now open. Interested persons may obtain details of the camp and registration form enclosed.
All Australian, New Zealand Medical and Dental Professionals, Clinicians, Nurses, Opticians, Para-Medical and General Volunteers are advised that registration for 2016 Sai MediCare Camp – Vanua Levu, Fiji is now open.
Dates of the Sai Medical Camp for 2016 are : 13th August – 21st August 2016
For those interested in participating in 2016, please fill out your details in the attached team registration document and forward all particulars per instructions in the form by 26th February 2016. Interested persons are urged to register early to secure a spot.
Four day-long free medical camps will be conducted on Fiji’s big island of Vanua Levu. The regional areas chosen are Nadogo (pronounced Nan-dongo ) and Seaqaqa (pronounced Se-gaangaa).
Schedule of Sai Medicare Camp in August, 2016 will be as follows :
| Sat 13th | Team flies from AU / NZ to Nadi, Fiji |
| Sun 14th | Team flies from Nadi-to-Labasa followed by half day medical conference at Sangam Nursing School, Labasa |
| Mon 15th – Thur 18th | Free Sai medical camps in Nadogo (2 days), and Seaqaqa (2 days) |
| Fri 19th | Team flies from Labasa to Nadi |
| Sat 20th | Rest/recreation day in Nadi |
| Sun 21st | Team leaves for home flying back to AU / NZ |
In addition, a separate small surgical team over course of the aforementioned period will also be working at Labasa Hospital. Skin speciality, eye speciality, gynaecology and other specialists are invited to join.
Accommodation arrangement at the hotel in Labasa will be on twin share basis due to limited availability of rooms. Over the course of stay in Vanua Levu, Sai MediCare team will travel daily from Labasa to the aforementioned regional camp-sites.
Due to ever rising popular demand from around Australia and New Zealand, we request you forward your registration details as soon as possible. It is likely total number of members participating in the 2016 Sai MediCare camp will be 40-45 individuals comprising of medical & dental professionals, clinicians, nurses and limited number of general volunteers.
There will be a selection process if greater numbers of individuals register for this camp. Also, registration date may close early if Sai Medical Unit get enough registrants.
