In service to the people of Fiji and to Sathya Sai Baba, the 7th Annual Sai Medical Camp took place with more volunteers and patients attending than ever before. Dr Gunu Naker (Project Manager) compiled a selection of feedback received from Volunteers and Participants in the 2013 Sai Medical Camp. This feedback is given below:
Team Sai,
thank you all for your continued philanthropy over last several years. Undoubtedly Fijian people have been the benefactors with primary care and second opinions.
God bless you all.

Sai Ram Dr Gunu,
Hope you have recovered from a very busy last two weeks. I would like to thank you very much for this very coveted and rewarding opportunity to serve Swami in the lovely Fijian people. It was one of the best experiences of my life and would love to do it again if permitted.
From my limited experience from this camp, I realised that the people were very lacking in health awareness and would benefit immensely from health education. Even though we had education happening while they waiting, I thought a more focused session on diabetes and cardiovascular disease, and eating healthy, would be beneficial as more than 75% of the people that went through the nurses station were diabetic and hypertensive!
We had a little area set up at the nurses’ station with Mala providing education when time permitted, but it could be more formalised if possible… This is my humble suggestion, and I dont really know if the general education session at the beginning covered the above mentioned topics.
Thank you again for the opportunity, and please pass on my gratitude to your very able team, especially Anuraag and Lawrence for their amazing efforts which allowed us all to have a safe and enjoyable trip with no hassles. You all took care of every minute detail! Very exemplary!
I pray that Swami’s Love and Blessings be with you all always, Sai Ram
Sai ram Gunu Uncle
Just want to say a big thank you to you and all the organisers of the camp. It was my first experience and i was absolutely blown away by how smoothly everything was organised and thought out! Thank you also to all for being so welcoming, after the first day it felt like I was in a big family gathering.
It has been such a privilege and blessing to be in the company of truly wonderful and inspiring people and I feel so grateful for the opportunity to have been part of the service. The whole experience has been humbling and I feel like I have gained a lot more than I feel I have given.
The Fijian people have made all the difference to this experience as well. Despite their needs being great, their wants are simple and they are some of the friendliest, loving people, with big smiles and great sense of humour. It has made me re-examine the priorities I had placed in my life.
So Again, thank-you for the opportunity and the invaluable life lessons.
God bless to all.
Dear Dr Gunu
Your email touched my heart. The stories you have told are reflections of Swami’s love. It was heart warming hearing a story of Baba’s pendant providing love and support to an attendee.
Your love is bountiful and feel inspired to continue to work on my layers of impurity toward Baba’s love.
Sai Ram Dr Gunu
I had an incredibly amazing time at the camp. It was so well organised and there was so much love. I was a bit nervous as to what I am going to do but was so warmly welcomed by everyone and was touched by it.
It was great to be part of the eye team-very touching to see the patient’s faces light up when they can see and read.
I am looking forward to next year.
